Dr. Phipps helped me return to my normal lifestyle! I am 48 years old and thought it would be a good idea to use Insanity to get myself back into shape. Within a week, I pulled a calf muscle. I rehabbed it for an appropriate amount of time, went back to the workout and pulled the other one. I continued to pull one calf muscle after the other, spending more time rehabbing them (ice, rest, elevation, compression, massage, electro-neural stimulation, heat - you name it). I spent a year on this injury cycle, just spinning my wheels. Enter Dr. Phipps who spent 6 - 8 weeks performing ART on both calves, and walking me through the proper rehab stretching and strengthening exercises. Results? It's been 3 months since my last visit, and I am full go in everything from basketball to running to, yes, Insanity! i have greater movement and flexibility in my calves and ankles, with absolutely no pain at all. Hopefully, I have no further injuries, but Dr. Phipps is my go-to partner if anything does happen.

Dr. Phipps saved me from surgery. I'm 40 years old and try to stay active in sports and regular exercise. I was having significant pain in my shoulder and arm that was identified by my primary doctor and specialist as 2 herniated discs in my neck. I was told to go to a nuerosurgeon who suggested my MRI was significant enough to suggest corrective surgery. Before taking that route I saw Dr. Phipps. Utilizing this therapy he called ART, he was able to alleviate my pain symptoms within a handful of visits and get me back to full activity again. I have now been pain free for months . . . and surgery free. I know there's a lot of injuries and diagnoses that recommend surgical procedures, but for many of those, I would encourage considering a visit to Dr. Phipps first. For me, the results were dramatic.

Dr. Phipps treated me for tennis elbow. I went to my usual chiropractor, but he couldn't help. I even went to a physical therapist, but it was the same treatments for weeks and no real improvement. So, Dr. Phipps was recommended to me and with the first visit, there was relief instantly. Now, I know that wasn't going to last, but with just a couple of treatments like this, my elbow was given the relief needed to heal itself. Yes, heal itself. Dr. Phipps's approach takes stress away from your muscles and joints instantly so they can heal quicker. Get the blood supply back to the affected area quicker. To me, quicker relief means less visits. I wish every doctor worked this way. Dr. Phipps is very sensible and very effective.

I was planning on scheduling carpal tunnel surgery, last fall, but decided to see what Dr.Phipps could do with ART treatments, first. My main complaint was numbness in my wrists and hands, during the night. After receiving several ART treatments, I was no longer being woken up by numbness while sleeping. My carpal tunnel symptoms have not gone away 100% -- but they have certainly improved and I am no longer planning on having surgery on my hands. I will return to Dr. Phipps for additional maintenance treatments, when my carpal tunnel appears to be acting up.

As much as I liked to stay active and workout on occasion, in recent years my activities have been limited due to a lower back problem and ongoing Tennis elbow. After only a few treatments with Dr. Phipps, most of my problems had gone away and I'm able to stay active with Tennis and working out when I can. I highly recommend Dr. Phipps to anyone that has tried traditional Chiropractic techniques and Massage therapy as the Muscle and Joint treatment he provided has worked the best for me

I have herniated discs starting at my mid back and and going up into my neck. Before I began visiting Dr. Phipps, I had tried everything- massage, physical therapy, other chiropractors. I spent a year in pain and within 5 visits to his office, my life was changed. I no longer struggle with posturing myself, am able to exercise, and I am not tied to his office for visits every few weeks or even months. If I have a setback, one session with Dr. Phipps puts me back on track. He has helped me to regain my life style. Dr. Phipps spends the neceesary time to get to the root of the problem. When you visit Dr. Phipps, he will find the time to accomodate your schedule. He knows you are in pain and gets you into the office asap. He spends however long it takes to alleviate your pain. He treats you as if you are the only patient on his schedule, when in fact that is quite the opposite! I don't know where I would be right now, if I hadn't become his patient.

I was referred to Dr. Phipps through a co-worker after experiencing upper back pain.  In addition, I had minor neck pain from time-to-time that I dealt with over the years.  After seeing Dr. Phipps I learned that my back pain was stemming from my neck.  After the first visit, I felt relief and continued to improve after a few additional sessions.  He found the cause of the pain and worked to remedy the problem area.  My back pain is gone and I now have normal range of movement in my neck area.  I am glad that I made an appointment to see Dr. Phipps as I hesitated at first fearing that he would “crack” my back, but on the contrary he uses an Active Release Technique to treat the pain.  The results are well worth a visit to his office.  I highly recommend Dr. Phipps.

I went to see Dr. Phipps after completing the Buffalo Half-Marathon as I could not run any distance beyond half a mile. Within weeks of seeing Dr. Phipps I was running 5-6 miles and now I am back running my long runs of 14 miles in preparation for an upcoming Marathon.

"Kayla, my sixteen year old daughter, started having numbness and severe pain in her lower legs after running for track in March of 2013. She was diagnosed with bilateral exertional compartment syndrome and treated with a bilateral fasciotomy surgery, May 30, 2013. Eight months passed and there was no relieve of any of her symptoms from the surgery, so after returning to the surgeon we performed the surgery and he did not know why the surgery did not provide any relieve from the symptoms, we started to see other specialist. We saw 2 orthopedic surgeons, a vascular surgeon, a physiatrist and physical therapist, who gave us no answers and any suggestion were eventually ruled out, while Kayla’s symptoms only appeared to be getting worse. Finally after speaking to someone who runs a running clinic and relaying all we had went through they asked if we had tried active release technique. We found Dr. Phipps in July 2014, who not only seemed capable of helping us, but was also quite eager to do so. After one treatment by Dr. Phipps, Kayla was showing improvement and after 8 weeks Kayla went from struggling to run a quarter of mile to easily running 3 ½ miles. It has now been 3 months since her last treatment and she is still able to run pain free. We can’t thank Dr. Phipps enough for taking Kayla on as a patient and giving us hope when we were running out of hope and starting to think we would never be able to find anyone to explain why Kayla was having pain while running and for giving Kayla back her love of running. We recommend him to anyone who is having unexplained pain and numbness while running."

After dealing with chronic headaches that surfaced after another chiropractor’s visit, Dr. Phipps was able to diagnose me and his treatment brought me from having tension/numbness in my head daily, to nearly 100% headache free! My quality of life has been restored and I am productive again after 5 months of dealing with pain, frustration and the fear that I would never feel normal again. With every appointment, Dr. Phipps was accommodating and worked with my schedule. He was attentive and patient, and addressed my needs. He made himself clear that he was always there to answer questions, and I found that to be true. His office is cleanly and his staff is friendly and welcoming. I am SO very glad that I was able to be treated by Dr. Phipps. I walked into his office a skeptic due to the other negative experience I had with a chiropractor, but I now have full confidence in his knowledge and abilities and I highly recommend him. I intend on returning to his office to address some other physical needs in the future.

After only 3 visits, the pain in my elbow was completely gone. What a great relief. I enjoyed the professionalism of the staff and doctor and would recommend his services to anyone who may need relief from similar aches/pains.

I am a 51 one year old female runner with Plantar Fasciitis. I was experiencing pain with each strike of my left foot when running and had heal and arch pain even when not running After a month of trying to get better on my own with no success, I emailed Muscle and Joint Chiropractic to see if they could help. Dr. Phipps called and answered all of my questions. The first appointment was very thorough and I felt 50% better after the first visit. I was able to train for the Buffalo Half Marathon during treatment and experienced no pain when running. After 4 or 5 more appointments I had no more symptoms of Plantar Fasciitis. This past weekend I placed 7th out of 118 people in my age group. I had no pain during or after the 13.1 mile race. Also, I wore inserts in my sneakers prior to treatment and now I don’t even need those. I highly recommend Muscle and Joint Chiropractic!!! If hadn’t gone, I would still be suffering and would have missed out on this annual race. The staff is great and I easily give them a five star rating. Thank you!!!!
